I love to cook and sometime within the last year I started taking photos of the things I make and posting them on Instagram. I always tag my food with the hashtag "what's for dinner". This is how this layout was born.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper Studio Calico/Simply Stories/Lawn Fawn, Speciality Paper Recollections, Clothes Pin, Hemp Twine, Inks Memento Lux, Silhouette Cutting System, Paper Smooches Dies and Stamps and miscellaneous fonts)
We did a product swap with Xyron this month. I am a huge fan of the sticker maker (seriously I have every machine they make). I love how easy it is to adhere any number of things to my projects. I took a couple of photos while I was making my layout for the hop (excuse the mess and the glare).
Thanks for stopping by today and you can catch my #whatsfordinner photos and so much more on Instagram/SIFullerton. Happy Stamping!

Happy Tuesday and welcome to the April Colour Suite a monthly colour challenge I put together for my friends at Scrapbook & Cards Today. This month I continued my exploration of metallic and embraced silver. I figured it would be a beautiful compliment colour to radiant orchid my other inspiration for April.
While I chose a glittery silver I think that colour is subject to interpretation and it could easily be used as a grey with these colours. The purple from my stash isn't quite the same shade as the one I originally chose for the challenge. I think purple is one of the hardest colours to work with simply because it's not as commonly found in paper collections.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper AC/Pebbles/Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp Stickers, Sequins Theresa Collins/Doodlebug, Silver Clips Stampin Up, Bow Crate Paper, Scallop Border Metal Die from Spellbinders, Silhouette Cutting System and various fonts)
This month I invited my talented friend Mandy Koeppen to join me and take the Colour Suite challenge. I was super excited to have Mandy join me this month, I am a huge fan of her work she is what I call creatively cool in ways I my linear brain just wont go. I love how she used the colours this month I am always so paper-centric (yup I just made up a new word) with my colour choices and Mandy reminded me colour can be added to a layout in so many more ways.
Thanks for joining me today for the AprilColour Suite. To read more about this challenge or to check out my past challenges don't forget to make your way over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and Blog.
Happy crafting friends!

Happy Monday crafters I was looking over my blog and how I use or don't use it and I decided I needed to play around with it. I have been using Typepad and paying a small fee which I am not sure was quite worth it since there are so many customizable free options available for bloggers these days. I really wasn't using TypePad to it's fullest potential so please hang tight while I try to reformat my look and/or possibly explore other options available.
During construction I am still going to be posting content. Maybe sure you come back tomorrow for the Colour Suite.
Happy Crafting

Happy Wednesday crafters. It's been awhile since I shared one of my Paper Smooches creations so I thought today was as good a day as any to show you one of my latest layouts. Paper Smooches is changing directions slightly and moving from monthly releases to every other month releases (basicaly 6x a year rather than 12). This layout was from the March/April release. While I used quite a few stamps and dies on this layout my original idea was rooted in the Quoteables Die. Then I just couldn't help but add all kinds of other stamps and dies to this layout.
(Supplies Used: Bazzil Cardstock, Pattened Paper KI Memories/America Crafts, Clothes Pin, Alpha Stickers Jenni Bowlin, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Sequins Lawn Fawn, Ink VersaFine, White Embossing Powder Stampin' Up, Top Boss Embossing Ink, Hemp Twine and Stamps and Dies from Paper Smooches)
I am being lazy here forgive me if you would like to see the full list of Paper Smooches dies and stamps I used on this layout check out their blog.
In the middle section I played around with layering the stamps and dies along with a couple of dimensional embellishments. I am such a sucker for heart dies and stamps they are super versatile and go with just about anything.
Thanks for stopping by today I hope spring is treating you well. Happy Stamping!

Happy April (can you believe we are a 1/4 of the way through the year I can't). Today I have my April PageMaps sketch and layout to share with you. I loved this sketch it was super creative and had so many possibilities I can see myself using this sketch over and over again.
I took a really literal approach to this sketch. It really is essentially a giant grid design and any number of the design areas could be swapped out to house more photos.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper American Crafts/Sassafras Lass, Velum, Maya Road Envelope, Washi Tape Bella Blvd, Stamp/Metal Polaroid Frame Paper Smooches, Flair American Crafts, Wood Veneer Studio Calico/Elle's Studio, Dear Lizzy Embellishment, Doodlebug Enamel Dots, Metal Scallop Border Spellbinders, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher, Studio Calico Bow, Mini Clothes Pin Darice, Circle Punch EK Success, Silhouette Cutting System/Image and fonts Bebas/Title and Veteran Typewriter/journlaing)
The background patterned paper is a super old piece of Sassafras Lass you can't even buy any more. It's one of those neutral pieces I have held onto for years simply because I thought it could go with anything. I can't believe I haven't pulled it out sooner. Do you have any old pieces you are still holding on to maybe because they are too pretty to cut? I have lots.
Thanks for hanging out with me today. Happy crafting!

Good Morning crafters happy Tuesday. I am thinking forward to some of my future Colour Suites and I thought I would share my challenge from the winter 2013 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today.
The Winter Colour Suite was my take on Valentines with a twist. My winter challenge was built from traditional colours like red, pink and purple. Then I mixed things up by adding a peachy cantaloupe and a neutral brown. If you missed out on my full article you can still download the winter issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Pebbles Patterned Paper, Elle's Studio Patterned Paper/Die Cut, Stamps Paper Smooches, Cork Arrows Fancy Pants, My Minds Eye Enamel Dots, Jillibean Soup Alphas, Black Pen, Wood Veneer Hearts from Studio Calico, Inks Memento Luxe, Twine, Buttons, Circle Dies Technique Tuesday, Corner Rounder, and font Veteran Typewriter)
I think my circle obsession has seriously taken root. I used metal circle dies from Technique Tuesday and my Cuttlebug to create my background then I filled all the negative spaces with all kinds of goodies. Circles and squares are perfect houses for all kinds of embellishments. I like to mix stamped elements with dimensional pieces or die cuts.
Happy scrapping :)

Hello crafters last Friday the latest issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today was released. I hope you have had a chance to take a look if you haven't get yourself on over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and download your free copy today. I thought it would be great to show you my version of the spring cover. My layout uses some new Webster's Pages. I love the light and airy feeling in the photo so I tried to recreate the look in my layout.
(Supplies Used: Bazzill Cardstock, Patterned Paper/Stickers Webster's Pages, Pink Floral accents KI Memories, Alphas American Crafts Thickers, Hemp Twine, Circle Punches EK Success, Wood Sprinkles Jillibean Soup, Misc Vellum, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and font Veteran Typewriter)
I don't often do 8.5x11 layouts so this was a challenge for me. There is a lot jam packed into this smaller package. I really love the idea of using the twine to create movement on this layout. It ties the title to the photo with design. I also used the circle elements to create a visual triange around the photo.
Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Scrapping :)
