Cards for Heros ...

I thought I would take a break and give a little back to those who are sacrificing so much for our country. So I made some cards for the Cards for Heros drive.  I don't have any direct family serving our country but my heart goes out to my dear friends Kimber and Stephanie who both have husbands overseas. 

These simple cards all use patterned paper from Scenic Route and Stamps from Hero Arts. So what are you waiting for why not take a little time out of your day today and give a little back.

Hello blog ...

... hello Summer where have you been?

The past 2 weeks have been a blur. The kids started school (yeah) and soccer kicked in to high gear. I wish I could say I have wonderful photos of all this to share but my photo taking skills on the first day of school leave something to be desired and well my soccer photos were all blurry (user error).

Anyway let me start by saying I can't tell you how excited I am for my friend Linda her book is now for sale thru Amazon and I recently received my copy. I know I am a bit biased but every time I look at the projects I am WOWed. I thought I would share a layout from the book. This is one of my favorites. The starting point was the fun and funky photos I found in a box from my mom.

 

Check out my funky pants. My mom always tells me how she didn't really like little girl clothes so her creative nature just made the looks she preferred I wear instead.
