Happy November 1rst (the day after Halloween)! I am just now coming down my sugar induce high from binging on Halloween candy. Would it be bad if I just threw it all out. I hear there is a dentist here in town willing to buy candy a dollar per pound.
I couldn't believe the weather yesterday. I woke to rain and not just a light drizzle either but by lunch time the clouds had parted and the sun was even shining. The weather man assured us that the rain would hold off until the morning. Seriously people this is Oregon, either rains or is horrible frigid on Halloween there is really no in between. As we headed out without layers, gloves or an umbrella I thought we were tempting fate. HA!!!! Not only was it dry but it was warm too.
Remember my post about sewing Corinne's poodle skirt. Here's the full view of her costume. It turned out far better than I had envisioned.
As quickly as the rain passed yesterday it returned today. We spent a rainy day on the soccer field. It was like the rain purposely waited for the boys to hit the grass and then it dumped. The boys played with tremendous heart losing 3-1. Grant's quote of the day, "I fouled that kid on purpose from behind cause that's how I roll." Tomorrow is their last regular game of the season. Then over the next 2 weeks they will play a tournament with a minimum of 4 more games.
So in the midst of all this on a whim I decided I wouldn't be the last person on the planet to read Twilight. So I read into the night, read in the car waiting for Grant's soccer game to start and have been reading here on the couch all afternoon. I am 2/3 of the way thru and I thought I should put the book down to breath.
So here I am breathing. So many more things to share when I awake from my diabetic coma I will update with a post about my new Stampin' Up addiction.
Cheers,
