... I will qualify this by saying the photo was taken around noon. The light dusting of snow which was a frozen sheet of ice at 7 am was pretty benign by the afternoon even though it was 29 degrees. Insert huge eye-roll ...

I agree! I live in the Portland area also and can't believe the kids were home today! They were so bored---after all, there was no snow to play in!
